Tijuana has a variety of transportation options, from public city buses to private and charter buses, to different taxis with different systems of rates and fares.

TIJUANA TRANSPORTATION - MORE TRANSPORTATION
Here you will find info, links and photos for transport around Tijuana, from the variety of taxis, to local city buses,
or buses and taxis out of Tijuana to Rosarito, Ensenada, Tecate, Mexicali or all the way to Guadalajara!
From Mexicali you can transfer to buses down the Gulf of California coast to San Felipe *(more info),
or from Guadalajara on to
Mexico City.

TAXIS
There are anumber of taxis and companies, mostly color coded for destination
CITY BUSES
There are a number of buses to take you around the Tijuana area. Try the 'Blue & White' buses *(azul & blanco)
to get from near the border to downtown*(el Centro), or out to the beaches*('las Playas')
TOUR BUSES
There are a few companies based in San Diego that offer transport to Tijuana and across the border.
Out of Tijuana
There are a number of ways to get out of Tijuana, east toTecate or west and south to the beaches, Rosarito, Ensenada or beyond. There are city buses, taxis or private companies.
Yellow- border
When you cross the border walk straight ahead 200 yards and you will find a lot full of yellow taxis.
Negotiate a price for your destination.
Blue & White
These buses will take you to the 'Centro' or downtown and
'Ave. Revolucion', or out to
the beaches*('Las Playas').
After you cross the border, go past the taxis and turn right. There is the bus terminal with local city buses and companies such as Estrellas de Pacifico or A,B,C.

San Diego Scenic Tours
San Diego Scenic Tours offers sightseeing tours of San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico. All sightseeing tours are professionally narrated in air-conditioned minibuses
and motorcoaches.

Estrellas de Pacifico
There is a terminal for this company just a five minute walk from the border past the taxis. The buses go to Ensenada, Tecate & as far as Guadalajara.

Usually the cheapest taxi in Tijuana,these are small white taxis, with yellow or green 'Libre' on the side.
Five Star Tours
This private charter bus company, with offices in Tijuana and San Diego, can customize transport for groups going to Mexico.
Suburbanos
These buses run from Tijuana at the downtown bus station near the arch,
to Rosarito across the street from the Rosarito Beach Hotel.
Colectivos
White station wagons with yellow trim., these are shared ride taxis, kind of a shuttle from Tijuana to Rosarito.
Near the big arch at 2nd & Madero.
