Mount Laguna, San Diego, California | |||||||
'Mt.
Laguna' is the highest point of San Diego at 6000 feet in the Cuyamaca Mountains
of east San Diego, 1 hour from downtown. Pine trees cover the mountain top, while
to the east is a dramatic drop and view of the Anza Borrego Desert and Salton
Sea. Occasionally there are winter storms that cover the mountain in snow. It
is usually available for hiking,
including the 'Pacific
Crest Trail'. - Cabins
are available in the village where there is also a market, restaurant and ranger's
station. From downtown San Diego you can take 3 different routes to Mount Laguna!
